Eagulls join Houston Party

Those are some of the few lines that the worldwide music magazines say about Eagulls.Eagulls, who recently joined Houston Party label are a Leeds quintet formed in 2009, with a brazen sharp punk attitude.

Eagulls are: George Mitchell (voice ), Herny Ruddell (drums ), Mark Goldsworthly (guitar ), Liam Matthews (guitar) and Tom Kelly (bass). In their backpacks, fast and furious songs. As if all of a sudden a bridge is risen to cross from the post-punk to the rock side, a link between Pavement or Guided Buy Voices. And they, Eagulls, would cross it while going thinking now and then in Joy Division. They sound just as essential as its description. Direct to the core. They shocked those who heard their first single in 2011 , “Council Flat Blues” lanky fuzz with an almost epic density. They had very few people as followers, but loyal. They all spread the word. and eventually the EP on a Canadian label called Deranged was a sold out soon.
The echo was transoceanic and they signed for Partisan, a Brooklyn’s label which also has Deer Tick in it. In Partisan, they have cooked their first album, self-titled, which will be released on March 3rd, 2014. It contains ten songs. They will come to Spain in April to introduce it.
Houston Party strongly believes in that tour.

Until now, we just have the first single from their debut LP, “Nerve Endings”, raw and anxious with lines that seem saw blades. A roar. In its B side a “Requiem” version of their admiring post-punk heroes Killing Joke. The 16th of December we will enjoy a 7″ limited edition with two tracks, “Tough Luck”, the second track of the album, and “Opaque”.
Young puppies about to explode. Now you know them.
