Rouge are an all girl fourpiece from London. Coming together in late 2012, they have showcased their unique range of fuzzy blues rock to many an eager audience. Having been compared to the likes of Deap Vally, Haim and Drenge, the girls have picked up fans everywhere they have been to date, and in November and December 2013 they take on more of the country as they head to Stoke, Brighton, Bristol, St Albans and London, as well as headlining the prestigious main room of Bucks Student Union in High Wycombe, all to tie in with the release of brand new single ‘Wilderness’ on 25th November – the first in a series of releases which will see them into the festival season of 2014.

The band is made up of Becky and Simone, who share lead vocal and guitar duties, their styles complimenting each other and blending into a unique showdown of folk and blues. Ruby and Nicole, on bass and drums respectively, complete the lineup and bring their own varied influences to the table.

The band released a strictly limited handmade Demo EP on 3rd July 2013, showcasing samples from their work to date, along with brand new tracks ‘Wishing Well’ and ‘Edge of the Bed’. Each CD was personalised and signed by the band, and the run was strictly limited in circulation and sold out in August.

November and December will see the girls step it up a notch, taking their exceptional live show on the road, and promoting their November single, ‘Wilderness’, recorded and mixed by Adam Crowe at Snap Studios in London, along with accompanying video. Keep your eyes peeled as the Rouge girls look to finish 2013 as powerfully as they started it, heading into 2014 with the sort of momentum that can only lead them onto the national recognition they deserve.
