As most of you will know, Monster Magnet is on tour now. Last 5th of February they performed in Barcelona, in one of the most emblematic venues the city has, Sala Bikini.

Monster Magnet – currently on ‘Lost Patrol’-tour – is one of my stars of the 90s… now I got the chance to see them live in Bikini, Barcelona on February 5th.

First of all I have to apologize that I can’t mention anything about the British support band Steak, as I was not really on time… But will definitely check them out in London!

Monster Magnet themselves absolutely exceeded my expectations! A strong-voiced Dave Wyndorf, a cozy venue with great sound and an international audience – this all causes a fantastic atmosphere!

They opened the gig around 9.20 pm and played a powerful mix of old and new songs. After an hour and a short break they gave their encore which again heated up the crowd… Four amazing songs including Matrix-track ‘Look to Your Orb for The Warning’ and – Yeah, finally! – ‘Space Lord’.

Overall a great gig with the highlights of 25 years Monster Magnet.
My recommendation… Check them out at one of the remaining dates if you get the chance!
