Después de un hiato de 17 años que se cerró con la publicación de Narkopop el 2017, Wolgang Voigt anuncia nuevo álbum de su proyecto más celebrado. Gas vuelve con Rausch, 7 temas que en realidad són una sola composición ideada para escucharse de principio a fin.

Gas es uno de los proyectos de ambient más prestigiosos de todos los tiempos, a la altura de Fennesz, Oval, Tim Hecker o Aphex Twin. Su sexto álbum se publicará en Kompakt, la discográfica que gestiona el mismo Voigt junto con Michael Mayer y Jürgen Paape, y su lanzamiento está previsto para el 18 de mayo. El anuncio de su publicación viene acompañado con el siguiente texto, una especie de poesia en inglés:
